Worship Through Giving

Our desire is to worship God in our giving by using the gifts that God has given us to advance His Kingdom. We strive to honor the Lord with the “first fruits” (Proverbs 3:9) of all our labor. Giving is a matter of discipleship. As we grow in our relationship with Christ, our financial commitment to His Kingdom should naturally grow as well. “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:2

Beyond Tithing

At SCBC we know God’s purposes for the church are to reach, teach, minister, and multiply. Multiplication includes disciple making, and because of God’s blessings in this area, we have also needed to multiply and expand our facilities. The Multiply Initiative is the resourcing plan (above general tithes which endows ongoing ministry) through which we are seeking to fund the facility expansion, which includes…
  • Parking lot with 249 additional parking spaces
  • Entrance parkway off of Coosa River Road
  • Sanctuary with increased seating
  • Choir Rehearsal space
  • Lobby & Welcome Center
  • Preschool & Elementary classroom space
  • Playground
This new facility expansion will open up new adult Connection Class space in our current education wing. This will allow us to birth new adult classes which gives us much needed space to reach and teach more people with the Gospel. Also, once the new building is operational, our Student Ministry will utilize our current sanctuary on Sundays and Wednesdays which will allow them space to grow as well.
With over 269 million lost people, North America and its major cities are some of the most spiritually dark places in the world. Each year on Palm Sunday, we invite you to join us on the mission to equip every missionary and reach every lost person in the United States and Canada by participating in Our Greatest Sacrifice to Jesus offering. This offering changes lives forever by empowering North American Missionaries to bring the gospel to the lost.
Each year we purchase gifts for our children, spouses, family, co-workers, and even people we do not know. This offering challenges you to give your greatest gift to Jesus. Whatever the cost of the greatest gift you purchase for someone else, give at least one dollar more than that amount to support our missionaries who are sharing the gospel in the farthest reaches of our world. It is Jesus’ birthday and should He not receive our greatest gift?
