Tools of Ministry Trip | Oct 10-17, 2020

Who is tired of COVID getting in the way of your plans? We have had so many things canceled on us in the way of missions. We have had to cancel most of the projects that we had scheduled this year but we have a chance to help one of our ministry partners coming soon. Here is the info:
The construction mission trip to Abundant Grace Church in Forest, Mississippi, will be October 10-17. We will be framing to block-in a worship center that is approximately 4000 sq. ft. This will include framing, setting trusses, decking the roof, and covering with tarpaper. In addition to trained and untrained construction workers, we will need helpers for cooking, serving meals, and clean-up of both the living quarters and construction site. The trip is open to all ages, however, children 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult who assumes responsibility for them. The cost will be $150 per person, but not more than $450 per family. That includes either a power/water hook-up for a camper or lodging onsite or at a nearby church and meals for the week. The only additional expense will be the purchase of a t-shirt if the participant chooses and approximately 1-2 meals. Transportation is not included.
For information, contact Steve Carter, 334-300-3749 or Carol Carter, 334-462-2867.

Passion Camp 2021

We are looking ahead to next year and want to give you the dates for Passion Camp next summer. In 2021, Passion Camp will be moving to July. The dates for Passion Camp 2021 will be July 12-15. Though we are saddened that we can’t go this year, we are so excited and expectant to see all that Jesus will do at camp next year!
Regarding the payment(s) that you have already made for this year, Passion Camp will refund all money paid to date. This includes your nonrefundable deposit as well as any additional payments made towards this year’s balance. All refunds will be issued by check. Passion Camp asks that we please allow them 60 days for the refund to be processed and mailed back to Shoal Creek, then SCBC will issue you a refund for the amount you have paid to this point.
While the 2020 summer is not going to look like we expected, we know that God is in control. Even in the midst of uncertainty and pain, He is using these days for His glory! We look forward to heading back to Passion Camp next summer!
