Every Thursday Night @ 6:30 pm | Shoal Creek Baptist Church

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered, 12 step recovery program for anyone struggling with hurt, pain or addiction of any kind. Celebrate Recovery is a safe place to find community and freedom from the issues that are controlling our lives. For more information about Celebrate Recovery, go to www.celebraterecovery.com

To implement this ministry at Shoal Creek, we always need a lot of volunteers to help in all aspects of service: Co-Leaders, Greeters, Serving Meals, Setting Up, and Cleaning Up. There is a job for anyone who has a desire to serve. Training will be required for all volunteers. If you are interested in helping, please contact Leslie or Tracy Boozer by email:

Celebration Place (K5-6th Grade)

Celebration Place is the approved children’s curriculum for Celebrate Recovery ministries for children ages 5-13 years of age. This Christ-centered curriculum mirrors the lessons taught in Large Group for adults. We refer to it as our “Pre-Covery” program. We strive to partner with parents to help break the cycle of dysfunction destroying so many of our families.

This ministry is based on the same principles as CR, but presented in a way that is geared toward their age. The age appropriate lessons deliver hope-filled truths and real life strategies for giving young people the tools on how to start making wise choices and healthy patterns for living.

We meet on Thursday nights. Normally, we meet at 6 pm for dinner (which is provided), but since COVID-19, dinner at Celebrate Recovery has been suspended until further notice. Our Large Group meetings begin at 6:30 pm.

The Landing (Teens 13 to 17)

This Celebrate Recovery ministry is for teens 13 to 17 years old. We meet on Thursday nights. Normally, we meet at 6 pm for dinner (which is provided), but since COVID-19, dinner at Celebrate Recovery has been suspended until further notice. Our Large Group meetings begin at 6:30 pm. Teens have their own meeting areas with praise & worship and learning & sharing time.

The Landing exists to provide a safe place for our students to process life and the struggles that accompany it, provide tools to help them live emotionally and spiritually healthy lives, and point them towards the freedom found in Jesus Christ. Through the Landing, our students can find a safe place to find help, hope, and healing by engaging the recovery principles and growing in relationship with Jesus Christ. Ultimately, this ministry can help students learn how to break cycles of dysfunction and provide tools for them to live free and healthy lives.
