Music

The Scripture instructs us to worship in song and this is the focus of the Shoal Creek Music Ministry. Our desire is to honor the Lord by providing a platform for a meaningful worship experience.

So majestic it ushers you into the throne room of God.

So deep it reflects the attributes of God.

So powerful it moves you to serving the Lord.

So emotional it can bring tears or laughter, joy, peace, and love.

Music:

It's greatest use: to honor and glorify the awesome God who created it.

September - A Special Time for the Music Ministry!

This month sees the beginning of the children's choir. They are provided valuable training not available elsewhere. This is a time of learning about praise and worship in a fun environment that leads to public performance. A great experience for those involved.

September - A Time to Join the Church Choir

Now is the best time to join the Sanctuary Praise Choir. The "new year" is beginning. The special seasons are coming. The new Christmas musical is on hand! If you have a heart for worship and a good voice, this ministry is a great place to serve the Master. Join us in the church auditorium on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm to see and hear the new Christmas Musical.

We will strive for excellence in all we do. Not the excellence that seeks self-aggrandizement, but the excellence through which God is offered highest praise and God's grace is revealed to those gathered. With that in mind, we see the choir as a portion of the congregation. We are charged and trained for the specific task of leading the congregation in mutual prayer (worship) and praise to the Lord. We are singing for worship, not for entertainment. What a joy it is to join voices and glorify the Lord together.

Jesus loves you and so do I,
Perry Scott

September 29 - October 1, 2010

When the leaves start to change and the temperature begins to drop, there is no better place to be than the hills of the Great Smoky Mountains. Add to that thousands of mature and senior adults singing, laughing and praising the Lord together and you have Fall Jubilee. For 2010, there are two great dates to choose from, September 27th-29th or September 29th-October 1st. Make plans now to join us for the 14th Annual Fall Jubilee.

If you have already made reservations to attend this year's Fall Jubilee Conference in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, the conference fees of $200 per person are due by July 11.

This Hope

For those of you who are not familiar with ‘This Hope’, we’d like to give you a brief overview of our ministry. We have been in full-time ministry since 1996. We minister in about 200 churches on a yearly basis. We present the gospel at every concert, and we’ve seen many people come to know Christ. Because we minister in the local church, a big part of our ministry is simply bringing encouragement and exhortation to the Church. God has also given us opportunities through the years to be on-mission overseas in Spain, Cuba, Romania, Ukraine, and the Canary Islands.

the Kempters

Our hearts' desire is that you will see in our faces & in our music, the love & hope we have in Christ Jesus. Is there any better way to keep our focus on what's really important in today's busy world? And just as we draw inspiration from all the beautiful people we meet everywhere we go, our prayer for you is that you'll be uplifted and comforted as we spend time together...sharing our love of the Lord.

Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. Matthew 10:32
